INDUSTRIAL AND MARINE ENGINES

From HR engines to the innovative ML704 and ML706

Since the early 1960s, the Lorenzoni company has been a distributor of industrial and marine engines for VM Motori of Cento.

In the 1980s, the HR project was born, an acronym for High Revolution, which involved the development of marine engines derived from industrial ones designed to run at high speeds (from 3800 to 4200 rpm), maintaining a tunnel engine architecture to ensure robustness and reliability for every type of use.

From the HR, through continuous improvements in materials and technologies, first came the MD series (electronic injection management) and then, as early as 2007, the MR series (BOSCH common rail injection). Lorenzoni, which has always been a partner of VM Motori both in sales and technical assistance, decided in agreement with VM itself to carry forward the MR704 and MR706 series engines and update them to meet the emission parameters required for RCD2 approval in effect since 17 January 2017.

RCD2 approval is necessary to obtain CE certification for pleasure boats. Thus, the ML704 and ML706 engines were born with the support of VM and Lorenzoni's desire to carry forward an engine with construction characteristics that differentiate it from almost all other manufacturers in the power range from 150 to 340 hp. The engine, compared to the MR version, differs by small modifications to make it less polluting and more respectful of nature, while maintaining the same construction characteristics and great reliability, such as gear distribution and cooled turbine.

As for the sales and service network, the current VM network, which has been synonymous with reliability and competence for decades, is maintained.
